Applying to Harvard


Are you interested in applying to Harvard University for graduate study?
Even though the Fundación México en Harvard is never involved in the application process, we outline the steps and main requirements to apply for graduate study:


1. Choose the school and program of your interest. Harvard University offers many different programs in each school, you can find details on their website at:

2. Under the school of your choice look for the specific program you want to apply to, where you will find information on the admission process, important dates, costs and other details:

3. These are the main and most common steps you need to follow to apply:

    Complete the online application, you will find it on the Admission websites of each program.
    Submit academic transcripts from your college studies.
    Scores for standardized tests, these can vary depending on the program but usually refer to the GRE or the GMAT.

    Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT): http://www.mba.com/us

      English proficiency exam, which usually can be the TOEFL o IELTS:
      Curriculum Vitae: Detailing your professional experience and may include personal aspects and interests as well.
      Letters of recommendation: Usually 3 are needed but this varies depending on the program. The people you choose as recommenders should know you well and should be able to speak about your strengths and important achievements in a candid manner.
      Essay or Personal Statement: Be very honest and sincere so admission officers can get to know you better through your essay or personal statement. Spend time reviewing it and ask someone to read it for you and provide feedback.
      There may be different or specific requirements for the program of your interest, so please refer to each program’s admission website for details.
      It is important to follow the admission blogs of the school or program you are planning to apply to as they offer tips and advice on completing an application.
      There are different admission consultants who can help you prepare a competitive application.
