Barbie was rebranded in 2016. The woman behind that project, Jess Weiner, spoke at “Harvard Hears You: The 2019 Summit for Gender Equity” . Event that took place on April 2nd which took place at the Smith Campus Center.
The program culminated with an evening panel in which actress Laverne Cox, fashion designer Christian Siriano, blogger Nicolette Mason, and cultural expert Jess Weiner discussed gender equity in the realms of pop culture, advertising, and consumerism.
“Harvard Hears You” was the opening mark of this panel.
This events are tools the University and all of the Harvard Community are using to help guide policies to encourage a healthy, safe, and nondiscriminatory environment on campus.
